The Lifestyle Calculator will help students plan for the future by building a budget to support their preferred lifestyle and discover relevant occupations.
From the Career Explorer menu in the top navigation bar, select My Career Page.
Under Lifestyle Calculator, click Let's go to begin.
Use the dropdown menu to select a location. This location will affect the cost of options that appear later in the tool.
Navigate through the tool by selecting options for each category. Click Next to move to the next category, or select a circled number to skip around.
After answering every question, click Calculate to see your results.
On this page, view a summary of your choices and the annual salary you will need to cover your selected expenses.
To edit your responses, click the Edit responses button. To edit your location, click the underlined city name. Please note, if you choose to change your city, your other saved responses will reset.
On the Relevant Careers table, explore careers with a median wage that is at or above your suggested salary. Filter for different careers using the search bar.
