Scoring an Assignment

Locating Student Work

In a class, click Scores to navigate to Class Scores.

Use the dropdown menus to filter assignments by Curriculum, Chapter, and Assignment.

Click the score to open the individual student assignment and begin grading.

For a quick summary of student results, hover over the student's score.

To view all assignments from a specific student, click the student's name to open their Student Scores page.

Scoring and Leaving Feedback

Many question types, such as multiple choice, drag-and-drop, or fill-in-the-blank are automatically scored. Teachers can adjust these scores by manually by clicking a different point value.

To learn more about automatically scored questions, refer to the related Knowledge Base article: Auto-scored Questions.

To manually score questions, select the appropriate point value (ie 0, 0.5, 1). Teachers may also provide feedback by entering comments in the Question Feedback textbox.

Refer to the Answer key box below each question to view the correct answer and any available notes to support student learning.

When grading is complete, click Save Answers at the bottom of the page to save your changes.

Once updated, the student’s score will be shown on the Class Scores and Student Scores pages.

Navigating between Students and Activities

To switch between activities and/or students without leaving the page, use the navigation controls at the top.

To select a different assignment, click Back to Scores at the top of the page to return to Class Scores or Student Scores.
